Okay so I didn't get the trailering package with my H3 as I bought mine from dealer stock. Problem is, my dealer says he's having problems getting the dealer installed package from Hummer. Is it available yet? Is the factory installed unit retrofittable?

Any optional equipment from the factory that you decide you want after you get it, at this time is going to be hard to get as they are trying to supply the plant with parts. You should just place your order for the part and you should be able to get it. And yes, the bumper is the same for both, just add the hitch.

I am in the same boat, except mine was ordered wrong, and I ended up without the hitch. The bumber does not have the cut-out for the hitch, so if you want the stock look like i do, you are going to have to have the bumber cut. I am planning on bringing mine to a good body shop, and have them cut it for me.

I've got the hitch and that part seems just fine, BUT, when we hooked up our trailer brake controller to our new Silverado it was a piece of cake. Simple, easy to find, under-dash plug for the controller. Is there such a thing on the H3? I looked around and couldn't find it. Don't I need that for towing a trailer that has it's own electric brakes?
