Tis Sunday
I am going sailing on the bay with my Dad today. Then, if it is not so friggin humid, plant some new stuff in the planters on the front porch. Maybe wash my car. That is all.
What's everyone up to?

Re: Tis Sunday
I will watch part of Loudon. I want to see Kenseth go gerbil on Gordo's ass. Payback is a bitch.
We have a birthday party to go to for a friend of Jax's, get to relax while the kid runs around and goes nuts. That'll be fun.
After that, I need to hit Petsmart and pick up a new dog shocker and flea treatment stuff. It seems like the dogs get fleas this time of year every other year or so. We give them monthly flea treatment, but our neighbor's yard is infested and they spend a lot of time over by the fence. We set up drowning pools last night in the house (soapy water and lights), and only caught one flea, on the rug where the dogs sleep. The upstairs seems flea-free, so that's a Good Thing. Dogs stay outside till the fleas are gone. Less dog hair to sweep up inside, yay!
Trying to figure out what's for dinner. Thinking maybe a Greek restaurant tonight.
Saw gas for $2.67 yesterday. Sweet.

Re: Tis Sunday
Well, since the wife's gone....
Loudon, hamburgers, .....
There's no way I'm going outside with the humidity already at 80%. The temps are relatively low, but damn it's still going to crack 90... and the humidity.....
Anyone see the nasty crash during the Tour de France today? Nasty. Even sent one guy over a guardrail.

Painting my entryway, replacing bulbs, manicuring the lawn, gonna have a Big Mac. Miss the wife and kids.
Hate the quiet.

Re: Tis Sunday
Recover from poker last night. Spend the $20 I won on more beer. Watch Mariners lose to Blue Jays. Clean house, kayak for a couple hrs with a buddy of mine, pack some stuff for the move, generally lounge around.

Re: Tis Sunday
Watched most of the race, Jr "blowed-up".
Took the wife to get some camping equipment. Grilled a couple of hamburgers for lunch. Grilled ribeye and baked potatos for dinner.
I should have replaced some of the lights outside, but one is so darn high, I can't reach it with a pole. I'll need a pole AND a ladder. And 3 landscape lights are out. I've already replaced those bulbs, so I need to buy new fixtures.
But the fact is, it's too damned hot and humid out there.

Re: Tis Sunday
Swimming...I should say "floating"
Smoking some whole chickens with beer cans in their backsides Not for medicinal purposes .
Listening to the mariachi band play in the backyard
And watching the Mrs.?s work on the landscaping It's about time she cleaned up her flower beds...

Those are the kind of days you can look back as "Lazy Summer Days".
Good times..

Re: Tis Sunday
Ahoy!
Sailing was a blast, the wind was 10 to 15 knots, 3 ft seas. The NE wind brought in these yellow flies out in the bay and they were staying with the boat- really weird but they didn't bother me. It was beautiful out there, but when we put the sails back down it was really hot getting back to the marina, docking and securing the boat. I was looking forward to the car A/C.
I grabbed a happy meal before meeting my Dad and left that crap in the car, so as I opened the car door- Holy freaking McNasty!! -this humid waft of McDonald's sauna stink hit me. Very disappointing to say the least.
It was to humid to do anything! ... except go to Dick's and get some stuff for camping next weekend! Skyline drive- I've been camping there since I was weeks old. I haven't been there in years- so freaking excited.
PS- Ken makes a gewd steak and potato. **nummy- bigbelly and smile**
