OPTIMA YELLOW TOP
Seems that the more i read about yellow tops, the more bad stuff i read!! What is everybodys experience with the yellow tops? I have read on this forum from a few who have had issues. Let me know cuz i am considering adding a d 34/78 and i wanna make sure it is truely an "upgrade" over stock , and not a mistake

Re: OPTIMA YELLOW TOP
I have gone through a few yellow tops and will not buy them any more. For my Dodge, i went with red tops and they were good. Not too mention that the yellow has a weak 1 year warranty while the red has a 3.

Re: OPTIMA YELLOW TOP
I upgraded my stereo system when I first bought my truck and within 2 months the stock battery went bad.. added a yellow top and did the Big 3 ( http://www.carstereo.com/forum/showthread.cfm?tid=29998 )..so far it's been going strong for over 2 years

Re: OPTIMA YELLOW TOP
I'll add that the yellow top seemed fine for the first few months. Then it seemed like anytime my Jeep sat for any amount of time, it would be dead when i went to move it. The red tops, I have 1 in my Jeep, 2 in my Dodge diesel (came stock with 2 batteries), 2 in my boat (Malibu Wakesetter, big engine), and when my H2 needs a bettery, it'll get a red top. They have not let me down yet. I have had them in all these vehicles for about 2 years now. I'll NEVER run a yellow top again.
The red makes way more sense and its cheaper, do your homework.
Good luck
