The problems that arise (possible rubbing, although there's many who have 35s that don't rub, gas mileage decrease, etc) really don't have much to do with the fact they do not have the adventure package, just the pure size of the tires. Some folks put the factory 33 inch tires on a base model for example with no problem -- at least for everyday driving. Off-roading will still be better even w/out the stiffer suspension just because you have the added clearance and grip of the larger, aggressive tire...just work on your brake-throttle modulation skills to overcome the lack of a locking rear diff..
