owners in central FL and north
Just checking in with those in FL, phone lines are out in most areas and cell phone towers are losing calls.
Hope everyone is ok from last night Tornado's.
This area is ok, cept for some low lying flooding.

Hoping all the Hummer folks (and, non-Hummer folks) in northern and central Florida are okay!!! Watched the news first thing this morning and I couldn't believe the devastation from the storms!

Re: owners in central FL and north
I was really surprised to find out how bad it actually was this morning. My power only went out for a second once early last night. Just a couple blocks down the road, they are still without power and flooded.

Re: owners in central FL and north
Now they are saying this Tornado stayed on the ground covering from the west coast to the east coast, which would make it the first in history.
There is another story out, that this man had his home built to withstand 150+ mph winds... It is leveled!
700 hundred homes are lost and 300+ damaged including a church.
Fortunatly there were not more people killed. When we have night time storms like this we have more deaths.

Re: owners in central FL and north
Ok here!
The tornado went through our hunting property and missed our camp by 200 yards. Thank goodness it didn't take out the satellite dish.
My best friend's dad lives in a retiree mobile home park in Deland that got hit but luckily his home is ok. Lot of devastation throughout the area though. Hopefully no deaths.

Re: owners in central FL and north
As soon as we realized where the storms were, we called my parents. They're down there on their sailboat. Fortunately they'd just left Vero Beach to head farther south.
