Baja MTZ tires
Anyone running these? (or Dick Cepek Mud Country) What are your impressions?
Decent wear? How are they on icy roads....siping addequate?
I know the Toyo's and Cooper STT's are a good tires, just looking for some feedback on the Mickey's before I pull the trigger. Always heard they were really soft and not much wear. My Xterrains were shot at about 25000 miles....
Thanks.

Re: Baja MTZ tires
These are the tires he is talking about. I have not heard any feedback on these but I used to work for an OffRoad Racing company out in California for a while and we used MTs all the time. They are great tires but they are extremely soft. I had a Ford Ranger Pre-Runner that would eat up Baja TAs in about a year. These may be much better but I'm not sure. Don't know if that helps at all.

Or theres this kind:

BOTH OF THEM ARE BAJA MTZ'S
Chances are someone here has run them, and you should be nicer.

Re: Baja MTZ tires
H2 Rocks,
Didn't mean to hurt your feelings, but I really didn't care if they ran the version WITH OWL or WITHOUT white letter tires. Basically the same tire. I'll take input on either.
Fetish...I can't say anything bad about any of my experiences with Mickey Thompson tires .....just that they are a pretty soft compound. Which may be good or bad depending upon your application. I'd like to get at least 30K out of them without them being completely bald.
Thanks.

Re: Baja MTZ tires
I have baja claw radial and they last very long for mud tires, which are same rubber compound as these only without siping. Longest lasting mud tire I have ever owned!

Re: Baja MTZ tires
How many miles do you have on the Baja Claws??
Pics of any tread wear would be even cooler
