Hi,

I have a Cobra 75 WX ST CB left over from my Jepin days that I want to mount to the H3.

Anybody mounted a CB antenna to their rig yet?
If so, where did you fit in and what kind of antenna was it?
Pics please...

Thnx

Haven't installed on yet, since I don't have the vehicle...yet. However, I have studied this on an H3, and here is an idea I came up with.
Rear roof mounted flexible antenna, running the wire under the roof rail on one side of the vehicle. The roof rail appears to be hollow and part of water runoff. Therefore, a water proof CB cable should be ok.
I would run it down the A-pillar (inside the roof rail), into the engine compartment, then through the dash panel into the radio. Either through an existing hole, or a new hole with a grommet.

Another idea was a rear bumper mounted flexible antenna, running the cable under the vehicle, up inside the engine compartment and then coming through the dash panel; described above.

I like the secdond idea better after looking at mine.

There is enough room to mount it on the passenger side rear bumper (5' or 6' Firestick with a flexible spring mount) abd run the cable along the inside of the frame rail into the engine bay and through the firewall into the dash.

Pussies....just drill holes and mount it and run the coax.
