So, when you go off- road, what does everyone do with their gear? I take the dogs with me almost every time, so I was worried about the gear sliding around and into them. And if for some reason I was to top over, than all of that gear is loose also.
So my questions is, what does everyone elso do with their gear? I made a boz and carpeted in and through some basic hand tools and receovery gear and first aide gear.

Nice! What did you use to cut out the foam shapes for the tools? Looks like nice cuts.

Seth, it is anchored to the floor. If you look at the foam, their is a white small first aide kit. to the top left corner their is a pillar in the middle. On the floor is where the third seat used to clip into the foor. I placed to hooks ans crewed them into the pillar, the pillar is screwed to the box. it doesn't move at all. as far as tie downs on top, I have four pull rings I have not put in yet. i want to have them flush mount with the carpet. than I can mount my H2O tank and tool box in there too.
BTW, anyone have instructions on how to change out the tie rod. I would like to print that out and laminate it and throw it in the box too.
With carpet and materials it was about a thousand dollars cheaper than the truck vault.

If it's to protect your dogs, you might want some sort of latch to make sure the hatch stays shut if you have the misfortune of rolling over.
