Default oil pressure problem

I have a 2004 and my oil pressure has been all over the place. One day the pressure is pinged passed 80 and the next day it is fine. When it is passed 80and I shut the truck off, the needle does not go doen to 0. It rarley makes it passed half way when the truck is off. This could be like this for 2 days and then all of sudden work fine. My question is if anyone has had this problem or can anyone tell me if this sounds like the pressure switch or the cluster acting up. Thanks in advance

Good luck finding your oil pressure relay! You most likely need a new IPC. They're pretty expensive, but you can replace the stepper motors in them. Usually the speedometer goes out.
