tire size clarification please
so i have done alot of searching on this issue. i just can get a clear answer. alot of the posts says you can do this, but the next post says you cant.
one says you will get some tire rubbing, and the next says that its minor, the next says you need to pull out plastic.
so here is my issue.
im looking to purchase some KMC Rockstar rims (yes, more rockstars)
20x10
for tires, i want to run with a 37 inch tire, and this is where my issue is.
can i run a 37x13.5 inch tire without any issues?
stock H2. no lift with the air ride in back ( i know i need to move the sensor)
would i need to move to a 37x12.5 instead.
im fine with some light tire rubbing as long as nothing is getting damaged.
i can always crank the TK to raise it a little, but that wont do anythign for the width issue.
so can someone give me a solid answer on what im safe to run without any rubbing at all, and what might be a little rubbing.
i am interested in Mickey Thompson MTZ tires.
i like the look of the Nitto MG, but dont like the loudness or the crappy tread life. the Toyo OC are not bad, but just lack the aggressive look.
thanks in advance

Re: tire size clarification please
thank you!!!
did you have to do the lift because of the tire/rim combo, or just because you wanted it lifted?
any rubbing issues?

Re: tire size clarification please
With 12.5 wide tires you will have ZERO problems.
With 13.5" wide tires you will need to make sure your wheels have a little more offset or get wheel spacers. As Well as cranking your Torsion Keys to make some more room. You will still get some light rubbing but this wont cause any harm as it will be on your sway bar.
That is a solid answer.
I had 37x12.5 tires. The truck was fine. I then went to 37x13.5 and had to crank torsion keys to get them to fit. If you have no desire to lift it be sure to go with the 12.5" tires.

Re: tire size clarification please
toyo MT 35 12.50 18 on 18 X 9 RS's. 37 12.50's would have been tight at stock height. 37's on the stock wheels work well (12.50 wide) at stock height. As soon as you go away from teh stock offset/ backspace, you'll have to do test fits.
The 18 X 9 has 5" backspace and worked well offroad.
