Default Curb view question...

Ok, how does your curb view work? On mine, when it is active the driver's mirror turns down so you are looking right at the rear tire. The passenger one however, only moves about 1/4". Is that all it moves, or is mine not working right? The driver's one is so far down that you can not see past the rear tire, so is not great for most backing. But the passenger one is not far enough to make any difference.

Hmmmm, is there a pattern developing here?

Once your in reverse, adjust the mirrors to your desired position, when you shift out of reverse the mirrors should adjust back out of curb view. When curb view is activated it automatically saves the position of the mirrors when they are adjusted while in reverse.

It sure is a nice feature to use and makes it super easy to get into my parking space but I wonder if it's worth the wear on the motors.

If you have the original 05 mirrors they are probably faulty or will break at some point. there is a TSB on them and the dealer will install the 06 style mirror. My 05 motors went under 24K miles.

I think I have the 06 style mirror... which would answer my question of why I notice all the 03-05 trucks have those goofy looking things, and mine doesn't

So, with a TSB will they just replace them, or do they have to stop working first? I'm not sure how that works. And, does it matter that I am the second owner?

I am a second owner and the factory warranty on my H2 had just expired before I bought it. It was not covered.

My extended warranty would cover it, but they would only replace the one bad mirror, claiming they do not cover cosmetic repairs (replacing the other side that was still working).
