Hey all,
I did it..... yesterday I traded the H2 in on an '02 H1 Open Top. (With much trepidation) I'm excited, but a little remorseful at the same time.

I feel more like a traitor, and not a convert. I know I'll miss the H2, but am going to look at this as the opportunity to see what the H1 is all about, and as a learning experience. (which some of you already have)And hopefully provide helpful input.

I really don't like getting into the "one is better than the other" thing, because they are both awsome vehicles, and won't go there. Like the latest print add says "don't just be an owner. Be a collector" I would own both if I could. (maybe some day)

This is one great forum, and plan to stay a part of it.

So with that said.......let the flames begin.....

congrats!!!
I wouldn't want one as my daily driver, which my H2 is for me. My next auto will be rag top H1. Not to replace the H2, but in addition. I hope you enjoy your new ride and also that you will keep in touch with this forum to let us know what you think. SWWWWEEEEEEET ride, bro.

Why would you take a brand new H2 and trade it in on a smaller cramped spaced feeling, bumpier, noiser, more expensive, jack your payments up higher, have no more use for, ugly looking, not new H1????? I have never been able to figure that one out... Oh well.. I guess I hope you enjoy, just not sure about ya now....

Zero- your points are all valid, as for the size, roughness, noise level issues, I asked myself the same question over every bump in the interstate on the drive back home from Dallas yesterday. As for the other issues, it's paid for, yes it's ugly, and used which will make it easier for me to put it through it's paces on the first off road jaunt. I guess it is one of those things one has to figure out for him/her self. Time will tell.

Gasman - my perfect world would include an H2 and H1 - (and 3 or 4 off of Zero's list )

Phil - I'll just be waiting for the "I told you so's from you."

Any chance you would remove that ostentatious list of vehicles from your signature? We get it.

Best-

99 CCM Rollerblades
00 Razor scooter
02 Rolling Briefcase
00 TUMI wheeled luggage
1970 Chinese Ricksha

Theres got to be something else I own with wheels. I'll get back to you Zero.

I removed my (much shorter) list a few weeks ago because I felt like a goober after realizing that that bendover guy did it too. He was trying to pick a fight with me over my choice of vehicles and thought he was the ****. that is until Zero showed him up... lol. That was a funny thread Zero. You're the man.

put that ostentatious list of vehicles back, its good to have goals, though I might not have picked all the same vehicles, I wouldn't complain about them either.

Thanks Orbital but I will spare the list so as not to cause any issues... Have already been called a few nice names.. Can't figure out why, but I will leave it off for now.. Thanks though and you know, I have thought about buying a Fatboy myself... Nice bikes....

there is nothing soft about a softtail, but it looks great and its an excellent beach cruiser.
Like the Ferraris, but they don't fit, a riding buddy of mine has a 93 512TR thats pretty sweet. test drove an 04 M5 last weekend, sweeeet...
