Hi folks.
New proud H3 owner here.
After a few days my H3 developed an elusive rattle that I can hear in the interior. Its not too loud but its there. I think it might be the passenger seat. I did notice that although the seat is not loose, there is a small amount of give with the rail that the seat rides on. I'm wondering if this is the rattle I hear. Does anyone else notice this? Can anyone else pull feel a small rattle when they pull on the bottom of the passenger seat? The bad thing is.. there doesn't seem to be ANY way to get at anything under the seat. There are also stereo equipment, etc. under the passenger seat.
Any help or ideas? Thanks.

Can't address your rattle, but that thing that looks like part of the stereo is most likely the inflatable restraint passenger presence module. In other words, it is the module that receives information from the Gel Sensor in the seat to determine if there is a person present, or if a person is present, is of sufficient weight to activate the passenger side air bag.
So, I would say not to mess with this module for safety reasons.
My question on the rattle is, "does it go away when someone is sitting in the seat?"
My suggestion is to let the dealer fix it.

I had a similar rattle. It turned out to be the passenger seatbelt buckle hitting the center console when the seat wobbles. They added more felt to the backside of the belt latch assembly to quiet it up. If you shake the empty seat it should make the noise. Hope this helps.

I FOUND the ELUSIVE RATTLE.
Its not the seat. Its actually the retractable seat belt mechanism that sits inside the interior wall. When nobody is sitting in the passenger seat, the seat belt is fully retracted and whatever mechanism is inside the wall of the interior has no tension on it and wobbles/rattles inside there. So for the moment I am just buckeling up the empty seat. But I may take that wall piece apart to see if I can see why the retractable mechanism is rattling around.
