Hey All:
My wife complains about the gap between the 2 U-steps as she exits the vehicle. It seems to be just where she wants to first place her foot.
Any suggestions/ideas about bridging this gap with a plate or something?

Hey Phil:
Thanks for nothin!
I haven't had that problem either, but I think it happens when you can't fully open the door like in a tight parking situation and in the garage. This is my wife...the only modifications here will be to the truck!
If it were me, I'd just remove them all together.

Hey Phil:
Thanks for the plate suggestion, that's what I've been thinking of. Oh yeah, or bring the whole truck down to 1" off the ground, then I wouldn't need steps at all, and Tim could throw them away for me! :-)
Hey Seth...."Bling" as in 'knocked off' like a license plate? :-)

Hey Seth:
That's funny!
Are you sure your name isn't "Red", as in "Green"
When I come down in Dec., I think we should drag some rakes behind your H2 thru that Devil's Den mud hole and see if we can fish up some aluminum plating....that would look better/last longer than a 2X4. :-)

Seriously though....I had my Dad cut out about a 6" x 9" 1/4" AL plate, which I will paint black, place on tread grip tape, then duct tape...I mean bolt, the plate to the top side of each U-step. I'll post a pic when done.
What a guy won't do for his wife!

Hey Seth:
The U-Steps are the best in my opinion...easy off/easy on.
I will take a pick of my final patch job and post it soon.

That's cool. I would have used the removal process that Blake did for them, but that's me.
