After salivating over the H3 for the past couple of weeks, (and getting conflicting info on the manual tranmission recall thing) I finally went over to Orlando last night and test drive an H3. They had about 25 H3's on the lot, but 20 of them arrived that day, and they were waiting to be checked in and assembled, and so we could not even unlock the doors. The test track made a believer out of me - much more impressive than just watching the vids. I gave the dealer a printout with my desired packages and he was going to place the order today. Fully loaded except for DVD/nav and engine block heater. Of course I want superior blue, manual trans, grill lights, chrome cap, all stuff that is not yet available. He was supposed to place the order this morning. He just called and told me that GM is only taking yellow and red orders this week, and so he will have to try again on Monday. I figured two months of waiting. Here we go, its going to be tuff!

Hey nice pic. My wife was worried that the blue would be bright (ala Nissan 350z), and I insisted that I thought it would be dark like your pic.
Hummernewbie,
I talked to a guy by the name of Shawn. He was very nice, not pushy, and I explained the debaucle with what I thought was a BS story about the manual trans that turned out to be a true story. No pressure from this guy, in fact he told me to hang onto my deposit until after the order was placed so that I could verify that the order was as I want it. He gave me a DHL envelope so that I could overnight it as soon as I had verification that the order was placed. I suspect that is because a few of the items won't be available.

Grim,
Shawn is not the guy I have been dealing with so you will have to be the just of their service. I have been very unimpressed by them up to this point but hopefully it will get better. As far as the blues go, the slate is a lighter shade and the pic DRTY posted before could play tricks on the shade because the background is so bright. Can't wait to see on though.

Thanks for the info H3mainer. I'll have to ride over to the Chevey dealer lot and check out their blue trucks.
