Has anyone purchased the remaovable sidesteps? I would like to know if they make noise while driving and if they are easy to take off and on. I will be wheeling this thing and I like the idea of more clearence so these seem to be the best option. Good to be back in the USA, just returned from overseas and my ordered H3(after 3 months of waiting) should be delivered on the 23. Thank you for your reply.

I have 2 pair of them & I like them alot . You wont have to worry, you can bolt them on w/ 4 bolts you wouldn't want to drive w/them unbolted.

Thanks CrawlH3, question they are advertised as not needing any tools to take on and off, I would think that I might only need to take them off a couple of times a year 4 or 6 something like that. What do you think easy off and on with the 4 bolts?

It would probably take 10-15 minutes to take off all 4 steps. They are really cool but expensive.

Hey Crawl, how much did you pay and did you get them from your dealer or another source?

I just secure my diagnolly with 2 bolts. Takes about 5 minutes to remove each side. They are very nice and sturdy and expensive as stated. One thing to remember but not positive is that you can't put mud flaps with the bars. I have a review and pictures of them on my website.

Oh yeah. I have read that also about no tools. It is true you can just put the steps in the holes and step into your rig (without the bolts) but you don't ever want to drive without the bolts holding the things down.
Also, I have never noticed any noise with these.
Some jack butt (right in front of me) did open his door into one though, to bad for his door. I just rubbed his paint off with my hand.

GM says they won't fit together, but someone on the technical H3 forum stated he had a friend who installed both. I'm wondering if a dremel might cure the problem.

If you did it in one piece I think it would be real difficult. Plus they are heavy so posistioning and building could be a bear.
