That's a good deal if you feel like giving the dealer $5700. At the end of the lease, your balloon will be the same, whether you put $1 or $10,000 down. All you're doing is buying down the payment.

I'm not real familiar with lease terms but 10K miles sounds pretty low.

There are always pros and cons for everything. If you are not planning on keeping the Rig after the 2yrs then maybe this is a way to go.
Even if you planned on keeping it, leasing could still be a good idea if you own a business. Keep in mind though that a lot of dealers will jack you when it comes to leasing.
The dealership really does not care if you lease or buy becasue all they do is sell the deal to a finance company that will lease. Just like buying the more you pay for the rig the more the dealer makes. The same applies to setting up a lease. After you settle on the purchase price then the dealer will sell the paperwork to a finance company that will either set up a purchase or lease...
Remember Everything and I mean everything is negotiable. You can not only ask for the same discounts as if you were to buy but you can also deal on the mileage and other goodies.
The amount that you have to put down is not set in stone either. Again remember they will try to get as much money out of you as possible in order to have equity in the vehicle when they get it back. Really, 5-10% down is plenty. I would not go any higher then that.
If you have a business, I would consult with a CPA for the best solution and keep in mind that in some states (Texas) you will be charge a personal property tax each year on a leased vehicle. Don’t understand this one since it is not really personal property.
Do you math first and then go for it...
