I'm considering an H3, and was wondering how the Stabilitrak system effects off roading.

Is there an on/off switch or anything?

I remember a while back reading in Motor Trend magazine that the Escalade with Stabilitrak suffered off road because the system was too aggressive in stopping wheel spin.

Thanks,

You can turn off StabiliTrak off when four wheeling. There is a traction control on/off button that you press, and hold for 5 seconds, and this will disable it. Also when the transfer case is placed in Four-Wheel Low Lock Mode, StabiliTrak is automatically disabled. OF COURSE.... "IT's A HUMMER" would you expect anything less?
