I spoke to local parts (Hawaii)and someone at the toll free hummer customer service. They said that the marker lights would be the same part, but with some kind of install kit. The kit would change the way the marker lights will be installed, which would solve the wind noise problem. They said the fix would be available sometime in November, but no specific date.
I still have not had my markr lights put on my vechile and I will wait until the fix is out to the dealers.
I really want these marker lights, and my dealer is ataying on top of the problem.

Come on f5fstop, let us know when I can order my marker lights. I am also waiting on the lights that go in the lower grille area but my dealer says they are not available yet. Unless you can supply me with a part number, they say they can't order.

actually, i haven't talked to the parts brand quality manager in a few weeks. i do know they were still in testing/validation stage the last time we spoke.
i guess i gave up calling him, when i decided i would never install them on my hummer.
as for the other lights, i ruled them out due to their low wattage. i will be installing a set of KC slimlites, each with 130 watt bulbs, to the brush guard.
i have done too much night driving in the desert and 55W x 2 does not make it.

Any specific reason us other Hummer owners should think about for not installing them (once they of course fix the existing issue)?
Or you just don't want/need them?

I wanted the marker lights so bad (still do), that I simulate my own wind noise while driving...
