I would like to see a stock vehicle Baja 1,000.Take a vehicle off the show room floor with no modifications at all and see who the better truck is.That would be pretty sweet to see the H3 and the Jeep Commander go head to head.I would take a loan and pay to drive in it myself.Thats what I call 4 wheeling.

For safety reasons, you can't run one off the showroom floor, you have to add some things like roll cage, harnesses, fuel cell, things like that. The production classes in SCORE and Best in the Desert actually run some pretty stock vehicles. I even ran a class 11 (stock VW bug) one year and finished the Baja 500. It was restricted to a stock 1600 motor, stock steel wheels, original sheet metal, and stock suspension geometry. The truck and SUV classes are similar and the H3 that Rod Hall raced in the 1000 a couple of weeks ago did well.

And with the extra lights installed, I would be they are running dual generators, or one heck of a high amp single one.
