Im not sure if I was asking at this point in time about a train horn to be mounted on a 2004 Hummer H2...If not do you know of a place on the web where I can find out where they are mounting these things? There isnt enough room under the hood..The horn is chrome and has three "Horns" attatched to a base with a seperate compressor tank measuring approx 8" wide by 18" long..The horns measure to the best of my memory about 18" across and 22" long I mean they are a monster. Would appreciate any help you can give.
Thanks

most mount to the roof rack track, with an adapter plate. and run the hose, and lines through the roof.

One last thing has anyone with the train horn experienced a break in the air hose? At the dealer in Hollywood Fla. They said that they dont install them anymore because the air hose breaks and then the compressor runs constantly and burns out...Soooo I thought of using copper tubing like they use on the back of refrigerators for ice machines...

Email this guy and he'll sell you some 1/2 air brake line that will work really well. Also, I do not suggest going w/ a kit from ebay. I went w/ a ViAir 480c Compressor, all 1/2" air line, and a 3 gallon tank along w/ the horns mentioned above. I also suggest going w/ a differnet solenoid to allow better airflow. Good Luck.

Search for "Train Horn" and "Air Horn". Dan bought those horns the the trumpets fit under his hood.

He also had some problems with the compressor and trumpets, but got things worked out and they're some loud sum-bishes.

Here is my RealWheels Air Horn installed on the roof rack rails. It was pretty simple to route the air hose under the wiper cowl and up the exterior driver's side pillar trim.

I have the hornblasters kit with the 3 gallon tank I believe. I have a setup on my Dodge Ram also. I have never experienced a hose break problem and I am running 160psi. There is very little room under the H2 to install. The set I run is a 4 horn conductors special and they are big. Here is the set up on mine. If I go offroad and need to remove them 2 bolts and its removed. As far as being worried about the hose breaking and ruining the compressor and draining the battery, just wire it to an on/off switch. Mine is also wired so when the truck is off, there is no power to the compressor, and also an on off switch to disable it when its on if I want.

These puppies are loud, same one as in the hornblasters videos.

Cool Re: Train Horn For H2

I picked up a great set of triple horns for my rig from Siege Engineering, 3 gallon 250psi tank, 1/2 inch lines, extreme pressure release valve, monster 40mm compressor, relays, switch's, fittings and more for $600.00. Running larger lines will allow you to move alot more air and get a bigger blast from your horns without bringing the heat and wrecking your compressor. This is how a train horn is supposed to sound....CRANK UP YOUR PC SPEAKERS AND LISTEN...
