Hi all,
I am still loving my '02 H2
http://andy.gamerscircle.net/2005/08/13/483/
I am wanting to get a better Nav/Entertainment system and was looking for reccomendations.
Specs - the NAV needs to not require the disc in it to operate, Would like to be able to pop in a normal movie dvd and be able to play it through either the main console or through the headrests, would like to have an Ipod hook up and.
Yes.. almost done.. would like to keep the XM and be able to get the XM Advanced Services, VoiceCommand was developed in collaboration with VoiceBox Technologies with XM NavTraffic & ParkingLink
Can anyone help me out with this?

Well, nothing other than oem will control the oem xm. If you want the Navtraffic, you will probably need to use a Pioneer Avic head/nav. Fortunately for you, they will be releasing a piece (I think they are going to call it the Z1) that is double din, has a built in hard drive for nav/music, will control xm and Ipod and will play dvd. Tenative msrp is around $2700 from what my rep told me on Friday. I also heard that Pioneer is really trying to beef up the in-motion security shut off for dvd playback and may have finally made it impossible to bypass that.

i added a pioneer flip out were the onstar goes and left my stock nav unit intact with a switch to go from nav to movie. i can use nav in the stock screen and watch a movie on the bottom screen or listen to music XM ipod whatever.the pioneer unit i have is not the best but is the best for ipod controls it has a touch screen that looks just like the ipod.
