OK so how much did you pay in cash? And in regard to people keeping things private your Income, and house, and what ever should be private but the price of a car, please its just transportation. Many people do not like to discuss that they pay or what their montly lease payments are for two reasons. One, they are private; two, they don't want to be known to have the highest lease payment.

As for what I paid, not sure if it will do you any good, since I got GM employee pricing on the vehicle.

Good luck on getting an inexpensive lease. I know the rates for loans and leases were pretty high in this area, and that is one reason why I decided to pay cash. You're right on the depreciation, but the lease companies will figure that out in the lease too. For me, I plan on keeping this vehicle up until I retire in 3-4 years, then purchase a new one and head out to my land in Utah and hide.
