I saw the earlier post about "curvilinear" cracks. My 2005 H2 has them on both ends of the windshield..exactly the same spots..I don't see how GM can deny this is a defect !!! Now just the other day, I got a rock impact away from the cracks..we'll see what happens when I go for the dealer to replace it !!! I love this forum..you can learn a lot from everybody out there !!!

Add me to the list of cracked windsheilds.
Funny thing is that mine cracked the first day I bought it as I was driving it home for the first time. A rock was thrown from a tire in fronmt of me and wham - created an instant spider web which grew to cover almost the entire windshield in only a few weeks. I just replaced it about 3 weeks ago. Hopefully this one will make it past the 1 month timeframe before it cracks.

The first one cracked badly and was replaced. The current one had a quarter sized hole in the windshield and is beginning to spider out from there. I paid $700 for the first one and am reluctant to do that again, maybe prices of windshields are higher in Southern California. If any So CAl folks know of a less expensive alternative please let me know.

Mine has an 8 inch crack, I should have fixed it when it was still a star. Plus another star that I need to fix quick before it becomes a crack. I was lucky enough to have had it crack free for a little over a year.

It'll get a rock crack on the drive over the pass.

Re: H2 Winshield
I just joined the crack club after owning my H2 for about a month. Luckily my insurance deductible is low at $120. But if this keeps up, they'll probably cancel my A$$.. I insisted on OEM replacement, but don't know if it makes a difference...

Re: H2 Winshield
See, I have felt that the H2 windshield is incredibly strong and not so easily cracked. I've had many impacts, and only this last one which was quite a huge MF (like gumball sized) managed to put a small arc of about an inch into the windshield. It hasn't spread, and it's hard to feel when you run your hand over it. I'll get it repaired soon...
But I still think that the H2 (and H3 windshields for that matter) are pretty strong.

Re: H2 Winshield
Just had mine replaced today... cracked last week, apparently from a chip very low on the windshield.

Re: H2 Winshield
Man alive, mine cracked and chipped and I have now replaced it 2 times already...Thank goodness that they only cost about $250.00 here in Canada.
I'm thinking next time I will just drive with out one, I kinda like the wind in my hair!
Seriously, I'm more concerned about the Tie rods, CV's and Pitman arms breaking so damn easy on these things...windshield is no big deal...class action on the front and rear linkage assembly's. Bought it for it's toughness not its meakness. If I wanted to repair a vehicle each time I went off-roading I'd a bought a Ford...or a Jeep.
