I noticed that the H2 reverse lights are pretty dim.
Has anyone replaced reverse bulbs with higher watts?

I haven't tried it, but the stock daytime running bulbs from the factory end up melting those cheap plastic DRL housings we have, so I would be careful just in case a higher wattage bulb would do some kind of similar damage to the reverse lights.

I used them in another vehicle a couple of years ago and in my experience I had no problems whatsoever. It seems that any heat related issues may not pertain to the reverse lights because you are not in that gear for lengthy periods of time. Or are you...

Of course I am. I learned how to do this from our Canadian friends. Eventually I should even be able to get my mileage back to zero this way

Yeah I drive in reverse alot on long trips to turn my miles back! It works great!
