I think a lot of it is frustration and fear of the unknown. How much will gas cost in August if we have a hurricane in the Gulf? There have been Hummer haters out there for years and for me they are easy to ignore, but the price of gas is one of those things that you feel you're being scr***ed by investors and big oil. It was so nice being near the Mississippi floods where people couldn't wait for help from the big SUVs and especially the Hummers.
Then the announcement by GM about possibly selling the Hummer brand, revamping or discontinuing it. What happens to my warranty without a Hummer dealer and will the Chevy dealer know how to work on a Hummer like Lynch does? The fall in value of all big SUVs. A letter from GM would have been nice to all Hummer owners. I feel let down by GM, BUT I STILL LOVE MY HUMMER! It's brought fun back into my daily driving. One lesson I have learned in life is to Appreciate The Present and not worry about the past or future.

I would like something in writing about the warranty from GM. I bought my H2 with 4,000 miles on it and got one of those great Hummer Certified Warranties, but I had to pay extra for it and as far as I know you have to go to a Hummer dealer. Luckily, in two years, I have only been back to the dealer once and that was for my electric seat motor going out - I like changing positions a lot.
To me the cost of gas is not that big of a deal, because I consider my H2 part of my health plan. It's fun to drive & relaxes me. It's one of the few things that stops people in their tracks in Manhattan, and it makes my commute relaxing. Having a very stressful job and long commute, I would rather put my money in gas than hospital care and the Hummer is part of my longevity and health plan.

the warranty is in writing.........plus the extended warranties are usually accepted by any ASE certified mechanics...read it closely to find out or call the dealer and have them explain it....
