Hi,
I just purchased an 05 Stealth grey H2, adventure package , sunroof, navigation, XM radio and rear headrest DVD package.
I'm hoping someone out there has the AMP power step option that can tell me if it is worth it or not. It looks like a great idea. How is the install?

For off roading, steps are a drag and I would prefer not to use the removable ones.

Thanks

Phil

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your purchase.

As for the steps, they have been talked about often here. The major concern is with off roading them. If they are used as sliders, in place of the stock rails, will they hold up to the damage? No one with them has given a report back on them to my knowledge.

I must say that after seeing and stepping on them, I don't think they would hold up in that application. However, if you don't take the truck out and work it, they would be a fine addition.

Review these:

About half way down on this thread they get into the steps:

Thanks,
It's too late to purchase the ones you have as I ordered mine yesterday. Did you have any problems with installation? I have reviewed teh instructions and they look pretty straight forward.

Those are fine for your ride if you are the type of person that buys an H2 to run around town in and cruise the mall with. Any self respecting wheeler is going to rip that **** off in about 30 minutes while out on the trail.

And we're all still waiting for you to post pictures of either your H2 or you wheeling. I take it we shouldn't hold our breath.

Maybe instead of posting pics of your rig you could go out on the trails with some other owners on the board. I'm sure they could learn a thing or two from you.
