the biggest problem woul be that the rim might rubb on the front spindels because lackof back space. try putting it on when your not buisy

Assuming it is the same size as the other tires, couldn't you carry a spacer in the event the flat was a front. OR, couldn't you put a rear tire on the front, then your factory spare on the rear?

yeah that might work... its not the same size as the new tires.. the new ones are 37 inch , but it would still be like a car with a small spare tire. what size spacer would it need.. thanks

I may very well be wrong here ,but I do not think 1 smaller tire will be good for the all wheel drive system on a H2. if you kept it under 20 mph on dirt maybe ,but above 30 mph on road surface might F up the the H2's drive system. if anyone knows for sure let me know .

I don't think it would cause harm if in 4-hi. I'm thinking you'd only be in trouble if you were playing with a locked transfer case or a locked diff. I've seen boneheads actually run different size front and rear tires on full time blazers. Works for awhile, but not forever. As long as slippage occurs at either the diff for side to side differences, or at the x-fer case with front to rear, you have eliminated the bind point.

Regarding spacer size, don't know, you'd have to experiment by adding washers to the studs until you get the necessary clearance, then measure and you have your answer...

The factory spare is a 35" BFG, correct?

There should be no problem if you only intend to use it in getting out of sticky situations (like off road to a tire shop). I've seen a 35 with 3 37s and it made it down the road just fine. The lift should have nothing to do with the tire size - you can run stock H2 tires on a lifted truck. It would look stupid, but there shouldn't be an issue.

thanks for the info .. i just heard you couldnt use the stocks wheels with the fabtech lift .. so thats why i was concerned that the stock spare would be useless. i though maybe the backspaceing of the stock wheels wouldnt work. i guess ill have to give it a try .. as soon as i get a new jack that will work.
