I've always liked the X5. It's a beauty. But I must agree with Lenny.

But if you're not into off-road and more on superior on-road luxury, it's still a good choice. Happy trails man.

I considered getting one of those for the wife....

Oh well... The poodle will look better sitting in his fancy car doggie seat.

X5 is a sweet ride.... SUV that handles like a sports car, I agree if your not towing or off roading its a nice ride and a good choice for around town (or open road) cruising.

Well technically the X5 is American. It's made in South Carolina.

I had a 04 x5 that I traded in when I got the hummer, and now got rid of the hummer for the new x5.
the x5 is my wifes, I have a 335 as posted in a thread on here somewhere.
don't get me wrong I liked the hummer but for a 65k truck it was lacking.
I dont see the quality that it should have.
of course it eats to much gas but that was expected, the aerodynamics are nill. the wind noise is extreme.
It was comfy and the complements were nice.
When the diseil comes out there just may be another one in my driveway.
if it tows a considerable amount and gets better mph.

Well as for comfort not considered to be an attribute for an H2 I must protest. My Show Queen with air ride gives anyone that get's in it a huge surprise. They could not have imagined the smooth quiet ride from day it was new. Now they can hear supercharger but, it is cool to hear it riders tell me. Rig stock except better quality chromed shocks in drivetrain. Not lowered or anything like that. Have maintained as close to a I could turn the wheel to the right and be into offroad terrain look as possible where it comes to show consideration. I'm told that staying an offroad look has helped with wins as it is a different look compared to most with spinners etc. With a good hour it could even with show stuff could actually be converted to go offroad. No wind noise and quiet as anything else riders tell me from day one. They get a rush feeling like we could squash anything else that got in the way I'm told with an evil type laugh or grin on their faces. They say they all feel really extra safe in the H2.

I have no idea what I could bring myself to drive if not H2 except the new Dodge Challenger I have lined out with a dealer. I would have to split driving time with H2. Maybe a future H3T if built but, still would not let go of my Queen. May consider an H4 of some kind depending. I would like to have an extended cab Hummer H3 or H4 truck to be every day driver. I would like the H3T in single cab even if that is only way to get pickup truck out of Hummer.

If You paid $65,000 You should have been asking on the forum where to shop or something. My 2005 H2 SUV bought on May 28 of 2004 in Stealth Gray which was a limited color as was sage and sunset. It was an Adventure rig but, luxury package items added to it making it lacking nothing Hummer offered on a rig at the time. I only paid $53,000 for it. Salesman said they did not sell at invoice much less off sticker and i told him i needed to speak to someone with authority because i was paying cash today for a rig and it could be here or 3 other places around the country I have deals waiting if my local dealer will not work with me. I can fly pay for one and drive it home. The next person I spoke to was the GM and I paid the man and talked them down on the extended warranty for 7 years 70,000 miles for a sum total of $1750.00 including taxs. I just kept setting at the finance guys desk where he tried to get me to finance the rig. I just kept saying do not need extended at each price he kept giving me lower each time he left the room and came back. Finally I was told I could have it for fleet rate or something like that and it was a number i liked. Oh, I forgot the $53,000 included the $1750.00 so H2 was closer to $51,000 then and it listed for $67,750.

Happy Motoring,

TAZ

Com'on Dennis... We're all friends here. You have to give us a chance to smack you around a bit. If you saw someone selling a ferrari to buy a corvette because of the exhaust sounds, you would smack them around too.

So, as they say in prison, bend over and take it baby!

I said that the h2 WAS comfortable.
I DID NOT say that I paid $65k for it.
I didn't dog out ther hummer either, I acutally said I may buy another one.
I did say that I was dissapointed in it.
I also think that I said another reason is cause I will not be wheeling it so whats the point.
thanks.
