HUMMER Has a Buyer
The Hummer brand and it's lineup of vehicles will live to fight another day according to General Motors who has entered into an agreement to sell Hummer to Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machinery Company. GM has been shopping around Hummer and they finally have made an arrangement for the sale. All vehicles in the lineup including the H2, H3 and H3T will continue to be produced.

Where did you here that? Last I heard that deal was a "no go". Post your source(s).

Re: HUMMER Has a Buyer
I found the following, but it is 2 months old. -- the time that GM announced that the deal failed. I think it is still dead.
Feb. 24, 2010 (China Knowledge) - Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machinery Co Ltd is seeking other ways to take over General Motors Corp's Hummer unit as it might fail to win Chinese regulatory approval for the purchase, Reuters reported yesterday.
Tengzhong, which has not given up hope of winning government approval, may use an offshore investment vehicle to buy the Hummer brand, said a source close to the deal.

Re: HUMMER Has a Buyer
HUMMER is dead. Those last models that ran were for a fleet order. Last retail H3 was built a while ago.

Re: HUMMER Has a Buyer
Fstop, I think we've come to the end of an era. I know you love your white H3. After my having one of the first 200 2006 H3s by VIN, it still lives a good life with my son in Colorado. The list of us early devotees is a long one, but your advice and insights were always a highlight of the forums. I miss that beautiful Shadow Green Metallic color and wonder whatever happened to NEOCON. If I wouldn't have bought the H2, I would have bought another H3 because after selling to my son, I knew I had to have another and I'm really going to miss the expertise of the people at Lynch, if or should I say when they finally close their doors. Most fun vehicles I've ever owned and that includes a lot of nice cars over the last 53 years.
