Everything that I have read says no. Its either cd or Nav.

Kevin is correct! Use a CD or use the nav, you can only choose one at a time and you must remove and reinstall the nave disc or cd each time to use it. I dont know of any auto company that would that has a nav in a car or truck that works like that. And we still dont have XM! BIG-C

I thought they were going to "improve" the '04. That Nav system sucks as does the new antenna placement.

I think that things like the nav and antenna are "rush to build" items. Come on! Where is the xm radio!!! After knowing this I think I will just keep my 03. BIG-C

I feel somewhat bad for the 04 buyers. To me after looking at all those 04 pictures, it's a ****ing down grade.

Imagine the downgrades on stuff you can't see???

That sucks. Somebody is making more money.
The NAV setup takes the cake. After market is by far superior.

Look at the bright side, It cant hurt the resale value of the 03. The worst thing a manufacturer can do to their customers is to make drastic changes in body styles and features. Thats how you kill the resale market for your own customer base.

Im happy to see minimal changes and from what I have seen so far we(03 owners)are looking better for a trade in or sale.

Look at the H1, Props to Hummer for sticking with a good design for over 10 years and look at the resale value they have (except for the new ones). If you bought a 02 H1 you have something to complailn about.....like a $30,000 price cut when they introduced the H2. Just think if they did that to the H2 buyer this early into the game......can you say planned obsolescence???

Alec,

Good points, but I'm a skeptic. For some reason, I don't think GM's intentions would be as honorable as what yours would be had you worked for them. They'd fire you!

That is meant to be a compliment .

They know they have a winner, now they have to figure out a way to squeeze more profit with less. Thus the 04. Still love the H2, but happy I have the 03.

P.S. The sales team at my dealership agrees with my dissapointment.

The tech guys at the dealership are going to fax me some of the changes. They say quite a lot but in their opinion, for the worst.

I'm very critical on this because I was thinking of trading my 03 for the 04, hoping for the upgrades(did I say upgrades??).The NAV was the final straw.

I think after market is the way to go now. Don't get me wrong(don't want to sound trollish), My feelings for the H2 hasn't changed(still gives me a woody ). GM strategy took a wrong turn.

ya... i dont mind the antenna.. its and odd placement in all aspects but the nav.. it would have made my life a lot easier not having to go through the selection process of finding a decent nav system.. i know one thing for sure though,, itll be easy finsing one that lets you play a CD while using the nav feature

The worst thing about the Antenna is how badly they F'd over anyone making Billet Aluminum or Chrome Side vents.

And for anyone that has the Nav and hates it. GIVE IT TO ME!

And for those that hate it without having ever played with it. Go try it out before casting judgement. And keep in mind a CD changer can be added to the system.
