I have the base radio in my new H3 and realy want to intergrate my I-pod. From what I found it is not possiable with the base unit.

So, I found the 6 disk changer unit on e-bay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Hummer-H3-indash-6disk-r...temZ8022700816QQrdZ1

Will this unit plug and play (can I just swap out the radios and everything work?) I am not sure if the 6 disk unit has anything wierd with the speakers etc. (I had a corvette and the bose stuff was all wierd somehitng like .5ohm not standard 4ohm.)

Any help would be great.

That looks the same as mine, its what comes with lux monsoon 6 disk pkg. And no you can't use your ipod with that. Hummer offers one with mp3 but I don't think with both mp3 and 6 disc. You could check out Monsters iCruze to possibly use with your base, I dunno I haven't tried but its something to look into.

I tried ICruze, but the proble with the base unit is that it is not set-up for any external inputs (changer, or XM) From what I have found, this is what these type systems use.

Even if I don't use the I-Pod, will the monsoon head unit work with the base system? This is my main question.

smith...be careful...I was going to do something like this as well as i have the base radio...if you only have base radio and add in the monsoon system, it does not put out as much power as the monsoon goes thru the amp...so you will have to put volume to the top.....
There are a few others posts about this already......I actually ordered one then cancled it...now trying to decide how I want to get sat radio.
