Albie,
What rims are those? Those are great looking. I may have to get those.
Thanks,
Mark </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
Great minds think alike. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
Hey Movin,
LOL, I agree... it's funny. A few years ago I got into gas powered RC monster trucks. Those rims look exactly like the ones I'd put on the truck because they look so cool.
I think those are definitely going to be my second set (if Albie would tell us what they are...lol)

Albie, looks great. Are those 20 or 22 wheels?
I've been wanting to regear do you wish you had gone with a higher gear (is one available 5:16?)?
What lift is that?
Again Looks great, I love the big Hummer look.

Yeah they do. I just need to see them on a vehicle. I dont like wheels with too much inset. The H2 is more of the wifes rig, in exchange I get to keep half of my money.

For obvious reasons, I like your setup.
One question though. How do you get in without the sidesteps? I've been wanting to remove mine but I'm afraid I won't be able to get back in.
thanks,
Mark

Mark I am only 5'8" and I have been jumping up into big trucks fr years. Most people that try to get in have a heck of a time. My wife is 5'2" and hates ....lol My next mod will be the electic step full running board type.

Phil,
I was thinking of modifying my steps to make them sit closer to the rail. After seeing your pics, I'm gonna try playing with that idea.
What exactly did you use, the stock steps?
Thanks,
Mark

</div></BLOCKQUOTE>No, they wouldn't be strong enough. Ric-H2 designed them and we used some 1.5" x 3" box he had, although some 2" x 4" may work better and give you a wider step area. U section would be ideal, otherwise you will have to cut on edge off. 3/16" or 1/4" wall will work well. Just weld it to the stock rocker protection, fill the ends and bedliner it.
It works great as a step and as a rock slider. There is some flex in the stock rocker protection, but I've had one side of the vehicle off the ground and slid along the slider with no problem.
I was going to plate the whole area underneath, but have never had any issues, so opted not to add the extra weight. The stock rocker protection is heavy, even heavier with some box section fixed to it, covering the whole area underneath with 1/4" plate would make the whole thing very heavy. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
As soon as I get settled in Va. I will be making some for my jeep, and trying to get a hold of HIHUMMERS' H3 to make a set too!
