There are 7 pages of reports about diesels(invented by Rudolph Diesel) in the 12/23/02 issue of AutoWeek. While the EU diesel fuel may claim to be cleaner burning(35% of auto sales in Europe), such is not true here in the USA, what you mentioned is NOT YET the case here, maybe by 2006, MAYBE. The more I read it the more confused I got, it is not a clean cut case, but I see the smoke and I smell the fume. It may deliver more MPG, but we all have a responsibility to our world. 21st century technology is possible, but we are stucked in the 19th century diesel technology. Good night.
