I have never had an issue with the stock brakes, but I am not in and out of a M5 Bigger wheels and tires, or just more weight on your wheel/tire combo will make your brakes cry on any truck/car.

i have 24's on my escalade ext and lowered the suspension too.. i have stock brakes and i can still stop on a dime.. i can definately tell that it is harder to stop. but not really that bad of a thing.. its by far one of my favorite trucks.
