I will have to try those other passes. On our way back from this however, we did pass a scene in Edwards where my friends accountant was killed rafting. We saw the emergency crews and whatnot. So I feel paranoid to go back to Indy Pass.

I went over Independence Pass in 1980 towing a two horse trailer, with roping horses inside of the trailer, my Dad told me it would be a short cut and I could make up time trying to get to a Rodeo that I had to be at. A couple times along the way my buddy had to get of the truck and watch as we try to make a couple of the turns, that was one hell of a trip, and the last time I every went over the pass.
