I have the same rattle out of the front passenger seat when no one is in it. It seems to happen when it is cold, and first drive out. If I grab the upper seat part and apply rear pressure while I am driving, the rattle stops. I am sure now that I am now seeing more about it here, that there is something there that needs a little tweak or lube...

BTW - I have not really off roaded my H3. Just simple muddy paths with no pavement. Nothing really of any strain.
