Also does anyone know how to reset the computer cause that might turn the light off if something really isnt wrong with it.

I'm not sure how to reset the computer. BUt disconnecting the battery and hooking it back up might reset some of the electrical codes. doug

buy a code reader, see what the code is, and then you can reset it with the code reader machine.

Usually, the light goes out automatically if the fault is gone, except for some emissions and hard codes. After a specific number of engine cycles (cold engine to hot engine back to cold engine), the code is completely erased in the PCM/BCM memory. (Not true for a few airbag codes).

Many of the auto parts stores can/will read the codes for you and even reset the ones they can. Be sure to make it worth his time.
