Yeah, but where does the beer go?

I agree. I just don't get to camp all that often. So, when I do, I go overboard.

Agree. We have a 10x9 for us and a 10x8 for the kids. Both came from Dick's and they're easy/quick to set up and take down.

I use a 10 X10 dome it sets up easy.
I was thinking of upgrading to roof top(expensive)link in last reply from me or a behind the truck one. link below.
This seasons over so I will get one or the other by next year.

Lynn, if you don't plan to camp often, get a cheapo and a couple of tarps and bungees just incase it rains. if you plan on doing more in the future, this is the one I bought and it's been through a acouple of very windy and and rainy weekeends and was totally dry.

the rainfly is nice because it allows air in and really secures down low to the ground. You can even seal out the wind gusts with an optional pole setup.

MarineHawk, that's one serious setup. I think I can get by with one a little smaller, but I like the fact that it's really weatherproof. When it decides to rain over here, it can really get bad. I like CP's idea too, of having two you can put together. Sounds like there are a billion choices...That Is a very Nice BEAR Can, and you Sure wouldn't need much else!...Except the HEAD TENT!

We don't have a "Dicks", but I can go to the local Camping gear outlet and look for a tent. REI is downtown and parking the Hummer on the street could be risky. I could order one from Cabella's. I love that place. ..Like the REI, and Cab's!

They don't make the old tent's with one big tall pole in the middle anymore, do they? YEP! Outfitters/ Guide Tents. Killed the BIGGEST Kalie SNAKE I ever seen with a Mil Spec Tent Pole!

What about sleeping bags? Or those pad thingys that even out the tree roots so you don't get one on the spine all night..Two comfy cotts for you two!, and air mats for the kids!---Put that HOT Air to work!
How do I pick a tent? What should I look for? Shock corded poles
I guess something like 10'x10' would work. I always have lots of crap everywhere I go, so I'd need some extra room inside. Two 10 X 10---One for the younguns, one for the Grumps, And get the smaller, Shower/Head tent
Rain Flaps?---MUST have the rain flaps
A little thing on the front for muddy kids to undress in?
Is there any type of material that is better? UGH! I just want a pretty one that matches the woods. K? Do they have those?

We just picked up a couple of costco - coleman sleeping bags..they're about $30 bucks each. rated to 25 degrees. The coleman air mattress are pretty good also. Go one last month on clearance at Target for $25 bucks...

Found one!

Think it'll fit in the Hummer? It's complete with a Maseur and Minibar.

MarineHawk; great minds think alike.

I haven't camped in years, but I'm going cuz I was told I HAD to camp on the Rubicon, and I can think of one other place near Moab I'd like to go, and it's a two day trail also.

I wonder if that one comes with one of those little air blowers so it just inflates and WA LA! Insta-Tent.

Can you believe it? they are all sold out, unless I want to order from the UK. They may be back in stock before the Rubi.

The red one is a two man tent, but I like the Camo one, and NO DRTY, you can't have one

Here we go.

How long do you suppose it take to erect this one? I love the little stove.
