First month of the New Model Year. June is New Model year month, and yours is the very first month of the '07 model year.

Just remember, that is not true for all GM cars and/or trucks...
Many new model startups start the second week in July due to the 4th shutdown giving skilled trades the time to set up for a new model year. Some new models start up anytime after Jan1.
