Depending on where your clearance problems, you might get it in with the rails intact. If its the framed door opening in the way, you're out of luck but if its just the garage door in the way, check the opener.

Most openers have adjustable potentiometers that set the travel limit maximums for the door to open and close. Remove the light bulb cover and look for small dials that accept a sloted head screwdriver, they'll be labeled with an arrow indicating direction. Most models have one for "up" another for "down" and a third for "force".

Often the "up" limit isn't maxed out since for most vehicles its a non-issue, for the H2 however you're gonna need all the clearance you can get which means getting the door totally clear of the framed opening.

I am afriad my issue is the framing around the door.

I kind of like the looks of the Hummer without the rails, and as I have never used the rails on my last three vehicles that had them, I don't imagine that I will have to re-install them anytime soon.

I could use one of those rails to make a quick release light bar....let me know if you want to sell one!

Mine fits in my Garage but I had to trim part of the opener arm and it JUST clears the door by about 2 inch.
