Thanks, not risky at all. The plastic was very adequate for protecting the front and if there were any over spray, Goof Off would have worked without damaging paint/chrome. I have painted dirt bike engines in the frame for years this way. I would use alum foil for the tight spots and then clean any over spray.

The reason I wouldn't bend it in is there are a lot of deer where I run and I need as much energy dissipation space as I can get. I would rather trash a $10 guard than my H3..One of my coworkers has hit 2 deer in his F250 and another tagged a 100 lb hog, all leading to pretty expensive damage..
