11:30pm yesterday. OMG! I have never seen that much lightning and thunder since Moab two years ago. We had quite a show. The grass should be nice and green now too.

Thats too much water CO. You should only water once a week, long enough to give the grass about an inch of water.

Ummmm, no. Not true in Colorado at 8000 feet with rocky/sand soil. But even if that were true, it wouldn't apply. I just planted new grass. New grass needs to stay continously soaked.

Agreed. I think my driest zone gets at least 15 min of water every 24 hours.

I forgot you did a new addition, my bad. I've read a few books about lawn care as well as forums, and never saw anything stating the need to water more at higher elevation. Generally, it is agreed to water less frequently in higher volume to promote a deeper and stronger root structure.
