If its detonation you may need custom tune done. Maybe change the plug heat. Get a cooler if you can. A good tunner shop should be able to get you dialed in right.

Sounds like the tune was junk if it really is from detonation. What happened? Did a piston break or what?

If you blew 2 motors I would agree that your tune is out of whack, hook up with a reliable/reputable tuner in your area and have him tune that thing as soon as that new motor is installed. If your running a blower you may want to look into a couple of things such as a bigger fuel pump/injectors if needed and also a EGT gauge so you can keep tabs on how hot its running.

As long as you don't squeeze the Charmin, you'll be okay--that is if you really have Mr. Whipple in your vehicle. Otherwise, he will chastise you.

I have an '03 with the Whipple and have over 60k miles on it with absolutely no problems. I run 6lbs. of boost.
