Why couldn't that be the HX in the picture...in the early stages??? Those designers are probably 5 feet tall.

A couple of reasons. The final look of the HX was agreed upon far before a full size sculpt was ever worked on. This has absolutely no features from the HX at all. Another reason would be that if it was an early HX design, I doubt they would avoid discussing it.

Since the height of the 'possible' H2 is in question, this should give you a better idea just how much larger it is than the HX concept.

The guy in this pic is Robert Jablonski, same guy who's on the right in the first pic with the unknown HUMMER. He's almost a head taller than the HX, where as in the first pic the 'unknown' HUMMER is taller than him.

Actually, that's not entirely correct. The HX has several early builds with different styling -- they were frames only with no engines. The vehicle pictured was one of those.
