If you have a little computer and engine knowledge, you can pick up a used data logger pretty cheap...seen them as low as $200.

http://www.hptuners.com/ is a damn nice one...base level is scan only. Would work on that corvette in your sig also. Can be upgraded through software key to program/edit your rides also if you really got into it.
