tight that's exactly what GM wanted us to explore.Removable fenders, bolt in windshield, hydroforming, exposed parts. Overall looks like a lot of fun, and without the worry of messing up a 50,000-60,000 dollar hummer. Anything wrong with this Ford EX?

Needs to have a mid-engine design. The EX's steering linkage is exposed, not behind some under carriage protection.
A continuously variable transmission, preferably gear driven, not belt.

sorry it's just frustrating. Didn't mean to take any of your guys time or make it a big deal. I understand... I'm a regular on the Audi forum and see people messed with all that time. I didn't mean to say the H2 was a soccer mom car,

I still think this nitwit is jerking everybody off. If he is legitimate then his bosses should get their heads knocked together for letting this idiot out in public.

Just how offroad capable is the FX? From what I understand, correct me if I'm wrong, its only good in sand.
If GM actually wants to make a somewhat capable rock crawler, mud bogger, etc like vehicle that you can drive on the highway then fine go ahead with it.
BUT if this thing is only going to look tough thats only as capable as the FX then don't.
For me HUMMER is about OFF Roading and off road ONLY. Not exclusivity, cool looks, luxury and other ****. If their smaller H4, H5, H983498438 are offroad capable make it, if not then don't. Please pass that onto GM.

If Hummer were to come out w/ an ATV, i'd buy it...being most of the H2 people seem to be offroad types, would make sense to have a matching 'mini-rig'

Take the Ford EX frame and stick on the body of the Ford Bronco SUV Concept, give it the Hummer H1 body lines, grill and bumpers and you are golden... Make sure the back cap and roof is removable so you can go open or have a soft top and bikini top that you can put on. Make the doors interchangeable with a set of half doors that come with it. Make the interior washable with a hose. Front and rear steering. Winch on the front. Windshield removable. Plenty of storage in the rear with tiedowns, nets, etc... Rear mounted spare tire carrier. Brushguard up front with rock rails and underbody protection...

What about one of these? The Polaris, not the H1!
