Just stop it. Stop bringing your fantasy world in here.

I think you should understand that this is a rough crowd in here, and you are treading on unfamiliar territory. Maybe you should contact GM and have them do a survey. They seem to be pretty good at doing surveys.

Wow you guys are almost as bad as the Audi guys. By the way, sorry I can't spell, didn't really pay attention to it. But we just visited GM, saw the new hummers coming out in the next couple years, and they want us to come up with a concept similar to the Polaris 4x4, like one of you mentioned. Your guys input would really help out. Thanks again...

Just curious on where you saw the “new” hummers at GM and who your contacts are before I call BS on ya. If you are on the level I'll know, (or find out) and say so, then you might get some more cooperation.

My contacts are at GM are Clay Dean, currently works on the Hummer, also there with Mike Copeland, Advanced Vehicle Intergration. This is for the team partnership program called "PACE", and we are also working with BYU. Look them up, ask them, since your at the level you know.

sorry it's just frustrating. Didn't mean to take any of your guys time or make it a big deal. I understand... I'm a regular on the Audi forum and see people messed with all that time. I didn't mean to say the H2 was a soccer mom car, it's capabilities are almost that of the H1, and it is a very capable vehicle. But it would really be big help to us if you just gave like two or three things you would want in this bull**** senior design project. I am not saying that our concept will be the next hummer or anything. BYU is building a full-scale model, and we are just doing the model on the computer.

First you come in here asking for a favor but don't worry with little things like spelling correctly or even attempting to seem legit. Now you want to insult us with a passing comment.

I believe that we are going to use independent on all four corners. I know that solid axles are better for off roading, but they are heavy. We want it to be light weight and fuel efficient, because the current hummers are gas guzzlers, and aren't exactly "green" vehicles. We haven't decided on a power plant, but diesel may be too heavy. Possibly a gasoline hybrid will be used. I'm on the suspension team, but any input on the whole vehicle will help tremendously. Our group did come up with a number in a meeting at GM in terms of price ($12,000), but we really have no data to support that.

EXACTLY, just like the Ford EX, just with the Hummer look, and great name. YOU NAILED IT. Use of hydroforming, exposed engine and very capable.
http://www.seriouswheels.com/def/For...t-1280x960.htm

I know that this is going to sound "soccor momish" but how about incorporating some side airbags. Not a big shifter and make the transmission a manual transmission. AND please do not use a 4 cylinder, stick with a inline 6.
