Why don't I speak Spanish? Why don't you speak English!?

I am a telephone istall/repairman and I'm used to running into people who don't speak English but never untill about 5 min ago have I had someone get all a$$y to me for not speaking Spanish. I know enough to get by but if put in a language barrier situation I'm not going to be the one struggleing its gonna be the other way around. When she told me she no hablo then asked me if I habla and I said no, she just goes off on this rant about she can't understand why I don't speak Spanish and if I wanted to do my job better I should learn. All I can do is try to get her to shut up and show me where she wants the jack installed so I can do it and leave, without telling her how I fel on the subject but I like my job and want to keep it so I keep my mouth shut. There is nothing wrong with keeping your heritage but if you choose to move to a country that speaks English then learn the language thats what my family did when they came from Poland and Germany I believe thats what should be expected from everyone and we should stop catering to other languages maybe that would encourage them to learn English.
