Angry 03 A/C Issue Eating Belts BAD Rattling Noise HELP! PLEEESE..

OK, we are having a massive heat wave and this is a VERY serious issue!!!

03 H2 with 60 miles on it. we have owned it for 1 year. in the last 4 months, we have gone through 3 A/C belts ( we are on #4 as of last night) the belts keep breaking.

When A/C is running are idle, everything is fine, at about 1500rpm you get a nasty rattling noise. We figured out that the belt tentioner was doing the rapid bunny hop and making the noise.

OK fine, we had the tensioner replaced. New belt. Same problem. Since the new tensioner 2 more belts have broken.

Funny thing is the A/C works fine WHEN THE BELT IS IN ONE PIECE!!!!!
and when the rpm is below 1500 or above 1750.

One more thing....it's intermittent Most days it makes the sound but sometimes it does not.

SO, any ideas? Could i have just gotten a "dud" tensioner? Could there be another issue?

ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRICIATED......I'm dying here
